Preparation before Snooker competition!

What are the preparation you need before going for a competition?

Well the tips that i manage to gather and remembered when i 1st joined my 1st every snooker competition in Snooker Arena.. hmm maybe in year 2003 or something.

1)Get enough rest the day before so you can focus better mentally and also physically
2)Do not overeat cause it will leave you bloated and it affects you cause you will need to bend while cueing and that affects your performance
3)Practise at the club that you're playing and try to get use to the table there cause every snooker club's table and cloth is different
4)Practise often and play from memory.
5)Do not underestimate your opponent.
6)Play safe when you're not confident in the shot you're making
7)Do not be overconfident over and easy shot. Many people lost because of this mistake.
8)Be calm and don't be nervous as it will tense you up

This is the tips i can remember and learn and it does affect your game play during the competition.

For me no one thought me the proper basic of snooker and what to do and what not. But i learn mostly from observation. Be it from youtube, real life or even on Astro.

Snooker Competition Coming Up!!

Well.. this is confirmed.. unless the snooker centre call the snooker competition off..

I will be playing in World Snooker Centre.. don't be deceived by the name.. its not world class nor super big snooker centre.. just a small 2nd floor shoplot snooker centre. But i've been wanting to join a competition to challenge myself and see my own limits..

For me snooker is like a lifetime never ending learning game.. i realised that i have this kinda hobby like fishing and snooker.. both also you can't finish learning one.. the thing is.. this hobby involves a tool.. fishing .. a fishing rod.. snooker ... a snooker cue.. so i find this kinda hobbies rather very challenging..

So these few days i will be doing some "revision" and it feels like you're going for exams.. to test your limits..

I happen to stumble upon some websites to improve myself.. what to do.. cannot afford to pay tuition fees so i have to learn myself lor..

1) Learning from youtube.. see the video's played by the top ranking players in the world
2) learning from websites.. www.fcsnooker.com, http://www.engr.colostate.edu/~dga/pool/normal_videos/index.html
www.maximumbreak.com

Then it comes to practical lessons where i play with my friends and get use to the tables..

Wish my all the best this weekend.. ;)

Poem on Farts!

A fart can be quiet
A fart can be loud
Some leave a powerful
Poisonous cloud.

A fart might not smell
While others are vile
A fart may pass quickly
Or linger awhile.

A fart may be steamy
Or come with a leak
The more you suppress 'em
The more they will "speak."

A fart can occur
In a number of places
And leave everyone
With strange looks on their faces.

>From wide-open prairies
To small elevators
A fart will find al of us
Sooner or later.

Not all farts are bad
This is simply not true
We mustn't forget
Dear sweet, old farts like you!

$20 dollar Bill - Insprirational

The $20.00 Bill

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.

In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20."

"Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value in God's eyes. To Him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to Him."

THOUGHT: The worth of our lives come not in what we do or who we are but by WHOSE WE ARE! You are special - Don't ever forget it! null where do you want to go next!

My car is back!!

Just got back from a quick lunch.. went to the workshop.. took my car and my car is back to its original condition.. apart from the paint of course..

i had to literally eat.. ride back home.. hop on to my dad's car to fetch me to the workshop to collectr

The power of ketuking (knocking)

Before...

After
Before..
After

Well i asked for the quotation to respray my car.. (my car really need it) it cost Rm 900 for outside only and i asked what if include inside as well he said Rm 1300 - Rm 1400

Well.. my car needs mudguard knocking here and there and a full respray.. hmm.. will see how after i finish fixin the boosh and all.. boosh making lots of noise..

My car dented!!

Well.. went to the bank.. ask my gf to stay in the car while i go in and withdraw some money.. the process only takes less than 2 minutes.. but in that 2minutes alot of things can happen.. accident only takes 1 second..

when i walked out of the bank i saw this car .. a toyota prado reversing.. from my angle i thought he will make some turns before he fully reversed.. but to my horror.. he reversed straight into my car.. WTF!!!! i went straight to the guy.. knocked on his window and ask him.. "lou sai... lei tim yong thun che geh" (boss.. do you reverse your vehicle..)he just replied.. come back here 2moro i'll fix it for you.. he actually owns a sparepart shop.

here's a pics of my car's dented side
my right fender
Top view of the fender
his dents also quite bad .. but nothing i can do.. not my fault what..but i think that dent is not from my car.. more to like his usual reverse habit
the car that ram against my car

So i was there yesterday (22/05/2008) at 6.20pm.. he said why you come so late. I replied i have to go to work as well also what. Then he said that the shop closes at 6pm. Then he said he will get the Mudguard fella to come and see my car. Then he came.. took his contact number and then say come see him 2moro at 9am.. cause that is when he open's his shop.

Went there today at 9am.. he said that my car should be ready in half a day.. so hopefully i have new pics to load it in here.

Phuket Trip - Day 2

The morning call at 6.30am.. Its a prerecorded alarm by their hotel staff mentioning me and my roomate's (daniel) surname Mr ... and Mr ... time to wake up.. it goes on and on and on until you hung up.. so after hearing that.. we hung up hahaha..

woke up and prepared to freshen up.. then head downstairs for breakfast..
Had omellete, pork sausages, chic sausages, garlic fried rice, porridge and guave juice.

Then proceeded with everyone there and talking about yesterday's experience of our 1st night in phuket.. after that.. at about 8.30am.. we departed for their tours.. went to one of the place where you can overlook the indian ocean.. pretty nice view i'd say and strong winds and waves crashing on the rocks there.

Some view of the islands opposite us

a nice view of water going between 2 islands..

There is a huge rock beneathe the sea.. the waves crash upon it in circles

then later we were brought to a place where we took our life jacket and proceeded in a small bus to the shore to take the speedboat to the Coral Island.. its too commercialised.. people playing banana boat.. playing parasailing.. everything is on that island.. so the water is not as clear as redang..

just a few pics.. for day 2.. will post more about it when i finish compiling the photo's from my colleagues.

A quick briefing before we board on the speedboat
The speedboat that we took
the view from the front of the speedboat
The water is clear but not as clear as redang's

will continue day 2 holiday with more photo's .... to be continued... Phuket - day 2

Dinner.. 21st May

Well.. just a short updates before i continue with the yesterday's blog on my phuket trip..

i still need to collect some of the photo's from my colleagues cam cause i didn't take much photo's on the 2nd day.. camera phone went flat.. one thing i realise..when ever you go travelling always check their power supply and also the socket.. i brough the 3pin charger and it wont fit.. i should've brought my 2pin charger there and then i would have alot more photo's taken.. darn..

The Fish fillet cooked in bihun

Cheng Lung Choi (Green Dragon Vege)
Frankly speaking i've not eaten this vege.. its highly recommended by the manager there and i trust him for his taste.. very nice i'd say but my gf dun like it.. it may taste a lil like spring onion but anyway.. nice vege..

Phuket Trip - Day 1 continuation

Continuation of day one here..

After finding my colleagues we walked through the busy streets of Bangla road.. met them at the end of the road and turn right.. well this place is like a big square.. just walk to the end turn right and do that again in another 700 metres and turn right and eventually you will come back to the hotel.. we saw shops selling board shorts.. underwears everywhere.. like calvin klien.. billabong.. T-shirts.. and polo T cost only RM 15 after negotiating the price with them..there are also alot of coat/suit making shops..

Then we crossed the road and saw something like Al-ikshan shop here in malaysia.. they sell everything.. (psst... we only went in cause its cooling and check out the price difference) hahaha Then we saw Mcd and the Ronald Statue here is fatter with the hands welcoming you.. most of the meals cost about 150 baht. Then we passed by some massage parlours.. hmm looks like its operated by ladyboys cause they're quite manly looking,... After walking around tired and thristy and hot.. we went to 7-Eleven.. stuff's quite cheap.. i got my bottle of coke for 10 baht..

this is the RM 1 The coke that i drank On the way there are seafood restaurants everywhere.. some of their seafood Tiger Prawns Frozen lobsters Look at the size of the Frozen Lobsters.. Then we walked back to the nearby our hotel and saw some lady boy show

After that.. .we headed back to the hotel.. some went for massage, some went for tattoo some went for foot massage.. i went for a 2 hour thai massage.. which cost me RM 50 .. kinda cheap but i heard that Bangkok is cheaper. One thing for sure.. they're never to stingy with their oil.. they practically flood me with the massage oil.. but it was a good rub and after that we met the other guys which we seperated earlier..

One of my colleague made friends with the Massage lady and they went out for supper.. we just had a drink and get to know her better and she offered to bring us out the next day with her modified Vios.... then we headed back to the hotel to sleep at about 3am.. slept at 3.30am after my shower and ... day 2 begins..

Phuket Trip - Day 1

On the day before my flight.. it was so hot.. packed my stuff and i really did travel light.. very light indeed.. the lightest i packed ever.. i was thinking of buying some pants and t shirts over there but then.. didn't have the time or didn't have the designs i wanted or the price is not suitable.

Just some pics taken inside the plane..

2 islands in the middle of the sea
The nasi lemak and green tea cost RM 10 on air asia flight
As soon as we touch down in Phuket Airport at 4.40pm local time.. we took our baggage and stuff and walked out to our Thai tour agent.. but before that .. they will give you a welcome gift.. its a necklace but not the flower type but instead its made out of sea shells.. and there is a pratty thai lady to take the pic with you.. i didn't buy the pic back cause it cost me 300 baht for 3 pics.. well one thing i realise that they love taking pics and selling it to you..

After that we were brought to this Cashew nut factory.. i didn't know that cashew nut is actually from a tree that looks like apple..

here is the pic of the Cashew nut tree

This is what the nut looks like
They'll have to crack this nut with this special human operated machine
The end product--- the cashew nut

After that factory.. we were brought to the Tshirt factory.. where most of the T-shirts in phuket are distributed from here.

Tshirt factory briefing...
the overview of the shop
This is the T-shirt i wanted to get but no stock .. sigh..
The shoplot infront of my hotel.. alot of massage parlours
Night view of the hotel from my balcony

after checking into my room.. i had to rush down for dinner cause heard that the buffet dinner ends at 8pm but that time its already 7.15pm.. had my dinner and went back to hotel to shower.. after shower.. my colleagues already out in the streets wondering around.. for me.. i came down and rush out of the hotel.. cross the small pathway and saw this guy and ask me.. "Hi sir.. you want me to massage for you"

i was like.. nooo.. and i walked off.. just to let you know.. the shoplots about 10 seconds walk away from my hotel is all gay area.. gay bar.. or maybe gigolo's are there looking for customers.

i walked off and reached to a busy street .. where people selling things on the 5 foot walkway and opposite it is the seafood restaurant.. plenty of it..

i took a right turn and saw come of my femal colleagues.. walk about 10 minutes .. still no sign of them..
turn back and walk the other way round.. well this side of phuket becomes alive when the skies get dark.. you see pubs, bars, agogo's bar (girl dressed in skimpy clothing dancing on the bar counter holding to a pole) .. then i turn right to Bangla road.. this street is full of pubs, disco's bars, ladyboys.. massage girls.. the whole street pratically and you can see alot of Ang mo's here.

to be continued...Part 2 of Phuket holiday

Careful with what you ask for!

A man left for work one Friday afternoon. But, since it was payday, instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire paycheck.

When he finally appeared at home Sunday night, he was confronted by a very angry wife and was barraged for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions.

Finally his wife stopped the nagging and simply said to him. “How would you like it if you didn’t see me for two or three days?”

To which he replied. “That would be fine with me.”

Monday went by and he didn’t see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results. Come Thursday, the swelling went down just enough where he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

1 more day!!

Hmm.. 1 more day and in exactly 24 hours away i will be somewhere eating my breakfast and chatting away with my colleague.. We should be departing by Skybus to LCCT to check in and wait for our flight to phuket at 3.30pm..

There is so much feeling inside of me thinking ..
what is thailand like.. cause seeing the pics you wouldn't get to see everything.. you'll only get to see bits and pieces of the big puzzle that is still out there.

Language Barrier??
Hopefully some locals there speak english or maybe some hokkien.. i do know some broken hokkien.. so maybe i could communicate with them and see if i can bargain for the stuff that if i find it attractive to bring it back..

Ladyboys... Hmm in malaysia we call it transvestites or (akua).. hmm.. i asked for oppinions from my friends .. hmm what to do in thailand leh... u know answers that i get.. Please read the statements below

Jensen : go touch the gay men la..
Kim : go touch the akua there..

i was like .. what kind of suggestion is that.. touch the gay men and touch the ladyboys there.. and then i was like.. touch where.. they were like at their "breast" la.. its not real one anyway.. this statement comes from Jensen himself.. i dunno if he touch a real one before or not.. but anyway.. thats what i got from him yesterday.. ermm.. more like this morning at Ming Tin Food court.

I was more interested in their water sports like their parasailing, banana boat, watching the sunset on a different part of the world.

anyway.. will post more when i get back with PICTURES!! hehehe.

Tiger prawns sambal petai

After that we went fishing.. ermmm.. more like chair rental cause we paid RM 30 but didn't catch anything apart from some small fishes.. my sifu commented and look at the water gate.. mind you that there is alot of plastic and some rubbish around this water gate.. usually it clears when its super high tide when its fast moving waters.. not alof of rubbish but according to my sifu he commented..
" Hey i think the fishes are on leave like you la.. thats whay they're not bitting.. or either they're confuse and can't see our bait cause there's rubbish around.. so the fish eyes also cannot see cause rubbish blocking.."

i burst our laughing and almost ROFLMAO.....

then after that went to Bukit Tinggi in klang for some bill payments and had our lunch.. muttun varuval with roti canai.. and 1 coconut to cool your body and a nice cup of Limau Ice to quench your thirst.

We proceed to tiger prawning after that and i caught 1 kg for 4 hours and my sifu caught 1.8kg himself.. truly a sifu.. i salute him .. heheh..
